At our Sleep Research Center, we scientifically pursue safety in bedding products. The Production Development Headquarters, which has obtained certification under the ISO9001 and ISO13485 international standards, has set its “FES” in-house standard at a level even more demanding than the JIS standards. Steps are also being taken to address the requirements of the Reduction of Hazardous
Substances (RoHS) Directive issued by the European Union, along with other endeavors to improve and control the level of quality from design and materials testing all the way through to the manufacturing and product inspection stages. |

Recent years have seen frequent incidents of accidents caused by users or patients becoming stuck or squeezed in the spaces between side rails, handrails or other parts of nursing care or hospital beds. To help prevent such mishaps, the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) for nursing care and hospital beds were revised effective March 2009. In response to this, France Bed is advancing development aimed at winning JIS Mark certification for our nursing care use beds, based on increased safety for those products, as well as accelerating product development targeting hospital beds to improve the safety demanded with regard to the spaces remaining in those units under JIS requirements.
Strengthened Nursing and Health Care Bed Functions For advance prevention of accidents caused by nursing or health care use beds at use in the home, welfare facilities, health care facilities or other locations, we are actively advancing efforts to prevent falls and ease impact, devise power outage countermeasures and otherwise strengthen safety functions in advancing improvements to heighten the overall level of safety.

“Pure Recycle Mattress and Bottom” refers to the realization of cradle-to-cradle, lease owned product recycling, where the recyclable raw-material used in production can easily be completely broken down. Furthermore, it is successful in reducing combustion energy and CO2 emissions in the raw materials production disposal cycle.
“Medical Mattress SM-600” is recognized as the first product to receive an eco-mark established by the Japan Environment Association. From creation to disposal, the product’ s lifecycle places little strain on the environment, and its usefulness as a mattress which protects the whole environment is well known.

Our “Hygienic Mattress” a product approved by the Bed Manufacturers Association of Japan, satisfies existing standards for dissolution of released formaldehyde, Law and other benchmarks, while also using materials treated for antibacterial deodorizing. In every way, this is a mattress designed with health and the environment foremost in mind.

At France Bed, our bed frames are produced from materials that have earned the “F ☆☆☆☆” Mark indicating the highest standard for formaldehyde grades stipulated under Japan Agricultural Standards (JAS), JIS and other rankings. This is testimony to outstanding safety and peace of mind built in from plywood, MDF, particleboard and other materials, through adhesives, paints and other ingredients.
